A red bumpy rash is one the most common types of skin rashes. And while this itchy skin rash could result from a number of possibilities, the most common cause is contact dermatitis or hives. Skin rash hives are usually a reaction to an allergen, medication, or an infection. Sometimes, hives can appear on people who often get very nervous like a stress rash.

If the red bump rash appears in the armpits or other areas where hair grows, it could also be hidradenitis suppurativa which simply put -- is inflammation of the sweat glands. Itchy rashes are particularly annoying and embarrassing when they appear as a genital rash, groin rash, underarm rash, or a rash on the face.

Red Bumpy Rash - Rash Diagnosis. We have all suffered from itchy rashes from time to time. And while most times this itching is harmless, it can be uncomfortable and unpleasant. There are many things that can cause common non-recurrent itching: irritation from household chemicals or garden plants, occasional insect bites, dry skin, medications, and sometimes diet. Surprisingly, many people found that when they eliminated gluten from their diet, their bumpy itchy skin rash when away sometimes within a day.

Steroids are the most often prescribed medication for an itchy red bumpy rash. And antifungal creams are common over-the-counter rash treatments. However, dealing with creams can be messy and uncomfortable, especially if you suffer from in private areas like armpit rash, genital rash or groin rash. So what other treatments are available?

Skin Rash/Hives - Treatment Options. If you find that you suffer from common rashes often, take a good look at your diet. Some very common food allergens to eliminate include gluten, soy, eggs, and dairy. A healthy diet can not benefit your skin, but also your immune system. With healthier skin and immune system, your body wont over react when it comes in contact simple household chemicals, allergens, or bug bites.

As soon as you notice any type itchy rash, it is a good idea to apply a cool compress or soak in a cool bath. Also, try to keep the area open, uncovered, and dry. This could be difficult if you suffer from a foot rash, armpit rash, or groin rash.

Another treatment option for skin rash/hives consider an Herbal/Homeopathic Tonic that will help heal your rash, strengthen the skin and build immunity from inside out. After years of research we, the editors of Wrinkle Free Skin Tips, have found the best way to treat an itchy skin rash internally. And the best part is that this all natural homoepathic supplement works with the body to help reduce the occurrence of all types of common and not so common rashes including :

circular rash, stress rash, yeast rash, viral rash, prickly heat rash, scabies rash, poison oak rash, shingles rash, and allergic rashes.

by Moses Wright

The vulva is the external parts of a womans genitalia. Vulvar dermatitis is a common condition affecting the vulva.

Itching is the most common symptom of vulvar dermatitis. Scratching the area can damage the skin. Broken skin can cause burning and pain especially during sex or urination.

The skin condition dermatitis is an irritation of a skin by an allergen. Vulvar dermatitis is dermatitis of the vulva, which is irritation of the skin of the vulva. Irritant dermatitis is a term that is sometimes used to refer to vulvar dermatitis.

Typical causes of vulvar dermatitis include skin irritation due to soaps, spermicides, and chemical contents of toilet paper or sanitary pads. Latex condoms and underwear may be causing the irritation.

Feminine hygiene products, lotions, and powders can irritate the skin and cause vulvar dermatitis. If a woman recently began using a new product before the dermatitis started, it could be what is causing the vulvar dermatitis. Identifying what caused the vulvar dermatitis is important to prevent more irritation or future episodes.

Vulvar dermatitis and other forms of dermatitis can have a hereditary component. A sensitivity of the skin and susceptibility to eczema or dermatitis can run in families. A woman with a family history of eczema may be more prone to vulvar dermatitis than the general population.

Mild corticosteroid cream and antihistamines are common treatments for vulvar dermatitis. Strong corticosteroids can make the dermatitis worse, Cool compresses are often used to soothe the skin.

To help prevent vulvar dermatitis, a woman can use hypoallergenic soaps. Wearing cotton underwear is best to prevent vulvar dermatitis. The use of douches should be avoided. Showering is preferred to bathing for the prevention of this condition.

Vulvar dermatitis takes time to heal. The woman should avoid things that can cause further irritation. The vulvar dermatitis can become infected. If the woman with vulvar dermatitis experiences an increase in pain and irritation, she should seek medical attention.

With over 16 million Americans suffering from rosacea, alternative treatments for rosacea are becoming ever more popular as people are tired of expensive prescription medications, laser treatments and over the counter products that don't always work.

Daily Tips That All Rosacea Sufferers Should Be Practicing:

- Wash with water that is lukewarm, not hot.

- Never use abrasive cleansers or wash cloths. Treat your skin gently

- Blot your skin gently, never rub hard and always use a soft towel.

- If you wear makeup, choose only oil-free and/or non-comedogenic products. Always apply light layers of makeup because too heavy of an application can trap bacteria and oil inside the pores.

- When you have a flare up, treat it sooner rather than later to prevent long-term damage.

- Too much sun is the number one cause of flare-ups and skin damage. Stay away from the sun and use a sunscreen daily.

- Keep your intake of spicy food and alcohol to a minimum to reduce flare-ups.

Rosacea comes in 4 stages. Pre-rosacea is the early stage and you'll notice that your face is a littler redder more often due to dilated blood vessels. Mild rosacea is where the flushing starts to appear more frequently for longer periods of time, especially after you've been exposed to a trigger such as exercises, excess heat or cold, emotions and stress, or irritants.

Moderate rosacea is where facial flushing becomes more frequent and intense, vascular damage occurs. This can result in long lasting redness, swelling and inflammatory papules and pustules. Telangiectasia (damaged micro blood vessels, often visible on the surface of the skin) may be noticed in the areas where flushing is worst. The last state, severe Rosacea is characterized by intense bouts of facial flushing, pain, severe inflammation, swelling and burning sensations. Sufferers may develop intolerance to products they were able to use before. Also inflammatory papules, pustules and nodules may be present. Some experience a bulbous enlargement of the nose, known as rhinophyma. This is just a guide, you may of course experience symptoms outside these ranges.

Natural Treatment for Rosacea: Alternative Treatment for Rosacea. This 3 step alternative treatment for rosacea includes:

- Using an anti-inflammatory topical product that reduces redness and flushing. This natural, gentle botanical ingredient can help constrict dilated blood vessels close to the skin surface which is what gives the skin that red blotchy look.

- A bacterial fighting agent to help kill bacteria. This is important to prevent breakouts which are common rosacea symptoms.

- All natural collagen booster. In rosacea skin, collagen networks are weakened due to inflammation, bacteria, and age. By strengthening the collagen and skin you can help prevent flare-ups, help the skin heal faster, and help it to look better faster.

The most important factor to remember when looking for natural home remedies for rosacea is that it's an inflammatory condition. Therefore, you should never use harsh cleansers, creams, or products on your skin. And you don't want to dry the skin out. You need to allow the natural skin oils to protect the skin and boosts its defense against environmental bacteria and conditions. While you may not be able to control the temperature or your emotions, you can take charge by applying the proper skin healing products.

Just hearing the word rash may make you feel itchy. The term itself covers a lot of territory. Basically common rashes alter the look and feel of your skin. Some are very small, while others may appear throughout the body.

The causes of skin rashes are nearly as diversified as the type of skin rashes. A person can get a viral rash, bacterial rash, one caused by fungus, a sun poisoning rash, sweat rash, or one even brought on by stress.

Looking at pictures of skin rashes might give you a basic rash diagnosis. However, many rashes behave alike so getting a medical skin rash diagnosis and treatment protocol is always a good idea.

Common Types of Rashes: One of the most common rashes is Atopic dermatitis, which is a kind of eczema. This rash is one tied to genetics and usually manifests in childhood. The general symptoms include patches of dry, scaly skin on the legs, arms, and chest.

Another very common type of rash is contact dermatitis. Simply put, your skin reacts when it comes into contact with an allergy or irritant. Poison ivy rash is a good typical example.

Two other types of rashes that are scaly in nature are psoriasis and pityriasis rosea. Psoriasis is often times genetically linked and can appear as a leg rash, elbow rash and on the knees.

Internal Rash Aid: If you experience any type of common rashes such as prickly heat rash, fungal rash, or HIV rash then you might consider using a natural supplement to cleanse the skin from the inside. Ive been recommending a natural herbal/biochemic tissue salt combination product.

These homeopathic tablets are taken internally to boost the immune system and hydrate the skinkeeping it healthy. And its much cleaner that messy lotions, potions, or creams.

Strep rash also known as scarlatina or scarlet fever is one of the more common types of skin rashes. And it usually occurs during a bout of strep throat. Since many rashes look similar its difficult to get a skin rash diagnosis.

Looking at pictures of skin rashes, youll see that many look similar which is why getting a diagnosis is difficult. That is why its best to see your physician to get a skin rash diagnosis.

According to the American Dermatology Association a strep rash usually appears about 12 and 48 hours after strep throat manifests. Some symptoms of strep throat include a headache, sore throat, high fever, swollen glands and infected tonsils.

A strep rash looks like a sunburn with small red bumps. These bumps usually start out on the check, but can turn into a groin rash, underarm rash and rash on the legs. Any area that warm, moist or sweaty can develop a rash.

A strep rash is red until you press on it, then it turns white. This type of rash could take up to 7 days to go away and the skin might peel a bit for a up to a month afterwards.

Strep rashes are most common in children and young teens 5-15 years of age. Antibiotics are the most common course of treatment and may clear the strep throat and rash, but the itching might still persist.

While most strep rashes occur due to a strep throat, it is possible for this rash to develop in response to a skin infection. This is serious and should be looked at by a physician.

While a strep rash is not contiguous, the strep throat infection is. You can reduce your risk of contracting it by washing hands frequently, keeping your fingers away from your face, and taking an herbal tonic to build up the immune system and keep the skin healthy.

Conjunctivitis, also called pinkeye, is the inflammation of the surface of the eye. The outer layer of the eye, the conjunctiva, becomes irritated and red.

by Moses Wright

Conjunctivitis, also called pinkeye, is the inflammation of the surface of the eye. The outer layer of the eye, the conjunctiva, becomes irritated and red.

Allergies can cause conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis from allergies occurs when an allergen, something that triggers an allergy, irritates the surface of the eye.

Other causes of conjunctivitis are bacterial and viral infections. If a virus or bacteria causes the pink eye, there is a conjunctivitis incubation period of approximately five to twelve days before the symptoms begin.

There is no conjunctivitis incubation period for allergic conjunctivitis. The symptoms begin when the eye comes in contact with the triggering allergen.

Some forms of pinkeye have much shorter incubation periods. Gonococcal conjunctivitis in adults causes symptoms after only twelve to forty-eight hours after exposure, while the gonococcal conjunctivitis incubation period in newborns is two to five days.

The newborn can develop pinkeye from exposure to Chlamydia during birth. The conjunctivitis incubation period for pinkeye from Chlamydia exposure is five to fourteen days.

Adult inclusion pink eye from Chlamydia can have a long incubation period. The conjunctivitis incubation period for adult inclusion pink eye is two to nineteen days.

Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis can cause redness, eyelid swelling, tearing, and itchiness. People with pinkeye may awaken with a sticky discharge on their eyelashes. Pinkeye can also cause sensitivity to light.

Tearing, itchiness, and redness are symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis from allergies does not usually cause discharge from the eyes like conjunctivitis from other causes. Symptoms from allergic conjunctivitis resolve on their own after the exposure to the allergen is stopped.

Conjunctivitis from allergies is not contagious. Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis are very contagious.

Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial pink eye. Antibiotics are often prescribed for people with pinkeye from viral infections even though antibiotics do not cure viral pinkeye. This is because many people need to be on antibiotics in order to return to school or work.

Nutrition affects just about everything we do in concerns to health and fitness. It also helps when you become under the effect of allergies each season. In eating the correct foods, and bypassing others, you will enable your body to fight off the symptoms of allergies and feel much better as a result.

Verify that you are getting your daily value of Vitamin C in your diet. If you would like, you could also increase the amount a bit more than the daily average so that you can take advantage of the antihistamine effects that Vitamin C has on the body. Look for fruits, orange juice, and some types of drinks for an easy way to get Vitamin C easily.

Fish oil doesn't sound too appealing, but rest assured it is a good supplement when it comes to inflammation you may be experiencing. Fish oils such as Omega 3 or Omega 6 are only found in certain types of fish, such as anchovies. Your best bet is to take supplements with these oils in them to make the process easier.

Your immune system will start to weaken once it begins to actively attack the symptoms of allergies. In doing so, it will be less able to fight off further infections for a certain period of time. You can help your immune system out by getting plenty of Vitamin E, which you will find in different types of nuts. Walnuts, chestnuts, and others are good sources.

The foods you are putting into your body may actually be causing your allergies. A good way to find out if your body is allergic to something is to stop eating something you suspect for a week. If symptoms go away, this is great news! Don't give up yet, however. Introduce the food back into your diet and see if the symptoms come back. If they do- you probably have a food allergy to one of several food groups.

You may not be completely allergic to a food group, but you still may be sensitive to one. Try cutting out known foods that act as allergens during seasonal allergies. If you can, eat organic food and snacks that are completely free of anything such as preservatives or additives. It may be more expensive, but you will no doubt feel better within a few day's worth of time.

Closing Comments

Food allergens and the normal seasonal allergies can disrupt one's life to a great extent. So long as you keep your nutrition balanced and healthy, you shouldn't have much problem in ending the symptoms before they last too long. Being proactive about the situation will grant you the freedom of allergies.
