Home remedies for dry skin are pretty effective and cost much less than commericla products. Below youll find a list of the best tips for dry skin with safe and easy to use ingredients and products. While even the best treatment for dry skin may not always be a cure, many people do find relief from bumpy dry skin using the affordable dry skin care tips outlined on this site.

Home Remedies For Dry Skin

Of all the home remedies for dry skin that are effective, the most important one is to stop using soap. In fact, this tip is for everyone, regarless if they have normal skin, oily skin, or dry skin because most soaps are not pH balanced. All skin cleansers should be pH balanced. This means it should have a pH of around 7 which is neutral. If your skin care cleansers dont list the pH balance, dont buy it.

The pH measures the how acidic or alkaline your cleanser is. Normal healthy skin is usually in the range of 4.2 to 5.6 and a good facial cleanser cream should also be within this range. At this level, the acid mantle (the skin surface) is in good condition and is able to protect the skin from dehydration and other damaging elements of the environment like wind, sun or bacteria. A pH below 7 is considered more acidic and above 7 is more alkaline.

Another great natural home remedy to help cure dry skin is to massage either olive or emu oil into your skin. Emu and olive oil can not only moisturize the skin; but can also heal and protect it. You should apply the oil after washing your skin, with a pH balanced cleanser, every night before bed. Its best to apply the oil while the skin is slightly damp.

Home Remedies For Dry Skin - Hydrataing Mask

Once or twice a week or so give yourself a great hydrating facial for dry skin. This treatment for dry skin will also help exfoliate and clean pores " so consider using it before going out for big night. Your skin will look fabulous! Here is what youll need for the Dry Skin Mask:

- 2 egg yolks - 2-3 teaspoons of honey

Mix the egg yolks first, then add honey and mix completely. Massage onto skin and let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse off and apply a good quality moisturizer.

Dry Skin Treatments and Diet

A poor diet is quickly reflected on your skin and many people have found that changing their diet can really help cure dry skin. Consider getting more essential fats into your diet. These types of fats will not only help with dry skin, but for many people helps keep their weight in balance. Studies show that diet plays a crucial role in a variety of skin disorders, such as eczema and psoriasis. So try to concentrate on eating more olive oil, flax seed oil, or avocados. You dont have to eat a ton, a little goes a long way in improving the condition of your skin. Fish oils is also important not only for skin but for reduce weight, cholesterol, arthritic conditions and even improve mood for those suffering from depression. If you dont like fish oil, consider taking a good quality fish oil supplement.

Home Remedies for Dry Skin -Dry Skin Lotion

Sometimes even the best home remedies for dry skin need a little help with a therapeutic moisturizer for dry skin. It is important that this therapeutic treatment for dry skin be100% noncomodegenic, so it wont clog pores and protect against sun damage. It should also contain natural soothing botanicals so as not to irritate sensitive dry skin. After many months of reviewing clinical research papers looking for the best dry skin lotion, we have found a excellent therapeutic moisturizer that is clinically tested and guaranteed to meet pharmaceutical standards.

Strep rash also known as scarlatina or scarlet fever is one of the more common types of skin rashes. And it usually occurs during a bout of strep throat. Since many rashes look similar its difficult to get a skin rash diagnosis.

Looking at pictures of skin rashes, youll see that many look similar which is why getting a diagnosis is difficult. That is why its best to see your physician to get a skin rash diagnosis.

According to the American Dermatology Association a strep rash usually appears about 12 and 48 hours after strep throat manifests. Some symptoms of strep throat include a headache, sore throat, high fever, swollen glands and infected tonsils.

A strep rash looks like a sunburn with small red bumps. These bumps usually start out on the check, but can turn into a groin rash, underarm rash and rash on the legs. Any area that warm, moist or sweaty can develop a rash.

A strep rash is red until you press on it, then it turns white. This type of rash could take up to 7 days to go away and the skin might peel a bit for a up to a month afterwards.

Strep rashes are most common in children and young teens 5-15 years of age. Antibiotics are the most common course of treatment and may clear the strep throat and rash, but the itching might still persist.

While most strep rashes occur due to a strep throat, it is possible for this rash to develop in response to a skin infection. This is serious and should be looked at by a physician.

While a strep rash is not contiguous, the strep throat infection is. You can reduce your risk of contracting it by washing hands frequently, keeping your fingers away from your face, and taking an herbal tonic to build up the immune system and keep the skin healthy.
