Does Nature Know Best?

Is it possible for your body to tell you what is troubling it without invasive methods? Can you determine what the difficulty is and repair or even cure it without x-rays, blood tests and other diagnostic tools?

I spent most of my life submitting to all kinds of medical tests including x-rays and blood tests, but was no closer to a solution for my severe allergies and asthma. I was looking for a method that could diagnose as well as correct the difficulty.

My trust in the medical profession started to slip when I was a teenager, and was treated by a doctor that specialized in allergies. He tested me to find out what elements and substances I was allergic to, which turned out to be everything. The protocol was to get a shot once a week, then every other week, then six months and the handling would be complete. I received three shots once a week and had an asthma attack each time a shot was given. The doctor never did find out what caused my allergies and certainly didn't handle the problem.

Later in life, I wound up with a severe virus. At first the doctor didn't know what the problem was so gave me a very strong antibiotic to take three times in a row. Because of the virus, my red blood cell level dropped to an extreme low - although the information of what was going on wasn't known at the time it was occurring. I had to be hospitalized. While in the hospital, the doctors didn't know what was wrong, so perscribed every test imaginable.

One test called for a radioactive dye and a cat scan to determine if I still had a certain gland that was suppose to disappear when I became an adult. That test result was normal but the radioactive dye caused my hair to fall out. After three months of more tests, it was decided that I had a virus and my body was trying to handle it by creating antibodies. There was nothing else that could be done.

Several years later, I had an allergic reaction to the paint used in an auto body shop located close to my house. I went to my doctor who gave my a prescription. I checked online to find out what the main ingredient was. Imagine my surprise when it said shellac, which is a varnish and is toxic. I decided not to take that prescription.

That was the last time that I went to a main stream medical doctor as I knew that the doctors didn't know what they were doing. The worst being the last doctor that I visited because I don't think he even knew that he gave me shellac to take to handle my allergic reaction to paint.

Recently, when I started having some pretty bad allergy and asthma problems, I didn't know where to turn. I wanted to find and handle the cause as the problems had not been this bad for a long time. Imagine my surprise when I went to a doctor trained to do Nutrition Response Testing.

Nutrition Response Testing is a technology that obtains critical information about bodily function from the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Autonomic refers to something that occurs involuntarily. Bodily functions like eye blinking, heart and breathing rates, digestive metabolism, immune response, hormone regulation and so forth are regulated by the ANS.

In layman's terms, this is a way of asking your body what's wrong and to find a handling by asking the autonomic nervous system. It was very impressive how powerful this technology was and how quickly my body was ready to give the correct answers to obtain the precise handling that was needed. Most amazing was that a specific problem was found and a specific handling for it.

The handling was based on nutrition. This is very real to me, as I learned early in my life to change my diet to whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies and to use nature's remedies. I started getting positive results almost immediately from this non-toxic treatment.

Learn 3 Ways to Enhance Your Treatment For Eczema

Short term treatments for eczema typically focus on healing your eczema lesions and reducing discomfort. On the other hand, long term treatments help strengthen your skin and overall health. Not only do they help you heal more quickly but they prevent future occurrences of eczema. They also compliment short term therapies by making your eczema flare ups less severe. This article will teach you three natural techniques you can use year round to help you better control and treat your eczema.

Ultraviolet light, or UV light, is an important part of a long-term eczema cure. Unfortunately, sun exposure has been shown to increase the severity of eczema probably because the levels of UV and other forms of life vary too much. This makes it easy to get too much light. Too much light dries out your skin and makes eczema worsen. The air also is filled with environmental irritants and allergens that can further exacerbate your eczema.

While natural UV light may have some drawbacks, there is still good evidence to suggest that UV light is an important eczema treatment. It can help promote your skin cells so that they can better perform their natural barrier functions. It is also anti-bacterial in nature and can kill germs and other foreign substances on your skin. In order to control your dosage of UV light you should purchase a sunlamp from your local health store. Try to sit under the sun lamp for at least 15 to 30 minutes everyday and you will see your skin's health improve. You do not need to schedule a special time for this, you can sit under the lamp while you read your book, do homework, watch television, or any other similar task throughout the day.

Another great treatment for eczema is salt water. Like UV light, salt water can kill or neutralize the irritants and allergens your skin is exposed to. Furthermore, the minerals in salt water can actually promote your skin's natural barrier function to enhance your body's ability to protect itself from irritants and allergens that cause eczema.

One of the preferred methods for using salt water is to soak in a salt water bath because you can immerse all of your skin. Soaking in a bath is also a great way to relieve stress. When you cannot soak, you might try wiping down your skin with a salt-water soaked cloth. This will help remove germs, irritants, and allergens from your skin. Remember that salt water will sting any open eczema lesions so you should use this as a preemptive treatment.

When you are stressed it aggravates the reaction your immune system has to your eczema triggers. This stress releases toxins into your system which makes your eczema more severe and more difficult to heal. If you can reduce your stress then you can better control and treat your eczema.

There are many ways to eliminate stress, but one of the most important things you can do is to get enough sleep. Resting gives you the energy you need to handle a stressful day without anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. When you are sleeping you also enter a state of renewal that gives your body plenty of time to heal your eczema. Sleep also gives your body time to strengthen your skin in order to resist an eczema flare up. You should also try to relax more when you are awake, even if it is for just a few moments at a time. Aromatherapy and massage are great techniques to help you relax.

Stress relief, salt water baths, and light therapy will give your skin and body improved health. These safe and natural tips will improve your skin's ability to protect itself from future incidents of eczema. Once you are following the simple recommendations in this article you will find that you are healing quicker, have less incidents of eczema, and can control your condition.

Finding Out More About Occupational Irritant Contact Dermatitis

If you have eczema, then you already know that controlling your triggers is a key to controlling your condition. Avoiding or limiting exposure to certain triggers will control many types of eczema. Your trigger may be easy to control in your home environment, but what happens at work? What if your job forces you to be exposed to your eczema trigger?

Occupational irritant contact dermatitis, a form of eczema, is triggered when you are exposed to an irritant in the work place. Contact dermatitis is commonly red, inflamed, and itchy. It is also painful in most cases. It flares up at the skin's point of contact with the irritant. However, it can spread from this point depending on how severe your exposure was and how your immune system reacts.

Scientist have identified more than 3000 allergens and irritants that are known to cause eczema, but only 25 are these are to be blamed in most cases. Most people typically have more than one trigger, but they are able to limit their exposure and prevent outbreaks. However, occupational irritant contact dermatitis is typically the result of one irritant which you become increasingly sensitized to while at work.

As you work and are exposed to the irritant you will find that your eczema reaction occurs more frequently and more severely. When you are first exposed, you may not have a reaction. However, people who are prone to contact dermatitis are believed to have a weakness in their skin structure. Therefore, the irritant slowly exploits this weakness and begins degrading your skin. Your immune system recognizes this as an attack and releases chemicals into your system to counteract the damage being done by the irritant. Unfortunately, a side affect of this immune attack is eczema at the point of contact. The more you are exposed to the irritant, the more quickly and severely your immune system will react. This is called sensitization and it is why your eczema will become increasingly severe the more you are exposed to the irritant.

Normally, occupational irritants are not among the 25 more common triggers. However, this does not mean it will be hard to determine your trigger. If you are around hazardous materials, chemicals, unusual metals, or if you regularly touch an object with the afflicted skin then you should suspect these irritants first. As an example, maids and cleaning professionals are often irritated by cleaning solvents. Beauty professionals are often irritated by nail varnish. Wood workers also react to certain types of wood varnishes.

If you are suffering from an occupational eczema your first step should be to talk to your employer or employer's safety representative. It is very likely that your employer has addressed this issue before and will have protection recommendations best suited for your situation. They may also have special protective gear to help you or may offer to pay for protective gear. No matter what, your employer should be aware of your situation.

Next, you should take measures to protect yourself. Always wash your exposed skin regularly and practice good hygiene in order to remove irritants from the surface of your skin. Cover your exposed skin with gloves, aprons, hats, goggles, and any other protective gear. Be aware that rubber and latex may be an irritant to your eczema. Also, try to improve your skin's barrier functions by applying lotions regularly such as aloe vera, oatmeal, and zinc based moisturizers.

Once you actually have an outbreak, your treatment regiment is no different than normal irritant contact dermatitis. You will probably want to use a blend of medical and natural therapies to find relief. You should also look into long term natural treatments that help you detoxify your system in order to strengthen both your immune system and skin.

It is unfair that in order to earn a living you must be exposed to the irritants or allergens causing your occupational contact dermatitis. The important things to remember when trying to control and prevent you condition is to keep your employer informed, protect your skin, and try to keep yourself otherwise healthy. If you identify your trigger, take extra precautions, and use a healthy treatment regiment then you should find your eczema occurs less frequently and heals more quickly.

Read About The Primary Household Eczema Causes

by Blake Helton

There are as many different causes of eczema as there are eczema types. Some types are triggered by common household allergens and irritants. In fact, your home probably has substances in it that are known to cause very severe eczema reactions. Controlling eczema is important and therefore it is also important that you understand what triggers your condition.

There are essentially two different types of eczema causes in your home, allergens and irritants. However, these triggers can affect your body in many different ways and cause different forms of eczema. Some reactions happen on the surface of the skin where some reactions take place internally and show symptoms within your skin. To better understand how these allergens and irritants trigger your eczema you should first know the differences between the internal and external reactions.

Contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis are very different in nature, but both forms are very likely to be triggered by household irritants and allergens. Contact dermatitis is an external reaction which occurs when the skin touches an allergen or irritant. The red, inflamed, and itchy rash normally occurs at the point of contact. Atopic dermatitis results from an internal reaction by the immune system to an irritant or allergen. When your immune system interacts with the trigger, and typically another component such as irregular hormones or stress-related toxins, the result is an eczema outbreak on your skin that is painful, swollen, and itchy. This rash can occur anywhere on your skin, not just at the spot where you contacted the allergen or irritant.

Irritants can be anywhere in your home. It may be in the air, such as cigarette smoke or air fragrances. Some of the more unusual airborne irritants in your home may be onion or pepper fumes from cooking and food preparation. Also, if you regularly use a humidifier you should check that you use only purified, distilled water in the machine to prevent exposure to water-based chemicals, like chlorine, in the humid air.

You may also find your irritant in some of your common household chemicals. The more common household chemical irritants are found in laundry detergents, fabric softeners, nail varnish, and latex products. If you have already checked these products and are still having occurrences of eczema, then you should check some of the items you use on a regular basis. Synthetic fibers within bedding and beauty products can often be an irritant to your eczema.

Allergens tend to either be consumable or environmental in nature. Foods like nuts, berries, and dairy should always be your primary suspects. Certain foods, like peanuts and strawberries, are known to cause both internal and external eczemas.

Allergens in your home environment are sometimes more difficult to control, but not impossible. Some of the more common allergens are dust mites, pet hair and dander, mold, and mildew. Most of these can be controlled through regular cleaning, including a good quality vacuum cleaner. However, you may find that you also need an air filter to remove these allergens from your home.

Do not be overwhelmed by the number of potential eczema triggers in your home. Your eczema is probably only triggered by one or two of them and this makes it easier to control. It should not be too difficult for you to identify your trigger and remove it from you home. Your best form of treatment will be to eliminate the irritants and allergens in your home that cause your eczema.

IBS Nausea – How To Eliminate This Symptom Of IBS

by Alison Harris

What if you could get rid of the painful and uncomfortable feeling of nausea that comes with irritable bowel syndrome? How differently would you live from day to day knowing that you never have to deal with the IBS again? This article will reveal some simple strategies that will make living ibs free a reality.

The truth is finding the exact cause of nausea in IBS sufferers can be a very difficult task because each person seems to have his or her own individual triggers. The result is that what triggers the nausea in person A is not likely to be what triggers the symptom in person B.

It is therefore very crucial that if you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome that you know the foods which trigger your symptoms. One of the best methods to achieve this is to keep a food and symptoms diary.

You simply note down everything you eat on a daily basis for about two to four weeks and also note what symptoms you get and when you get them.

But what is Irritable Bowel Syndrome? It is as a functional disorder of the digestive system. This means that the digestive system of the sufferer is not functioning normally as it should although there are no identifiable physical causes or reasons to explain why.

So if you were to take a peek inside the digestive system of a sufferer it would look perfectly normal.

Apart from IBS nausea, other common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome include bloating, flatulence, constipation or/and diarrhea, abdominal pain and spastic contractions of the colon.

We discussed earlier it was important for you to know what your triggers are because prescription drugs such as anticholinergics only mask the symptoms of the ailment, once you stop taking the drugs, the symptoms return and usually with a vengeance.

The second thing you can do to eliminate your IBS Nausea is to use pure peppermint oil. Peppermint is known to have anti-spasmodic action and analgesic (pain-killing) properties to help soothe your digestive tract, ease any tightness relieve abdominal pain, and stop you from feeling nauseous.

Natural Treatment For Ovarian Cysts – Eliminate This Common Food And Be Cured For Life.

Before we delve in depth at the best Natural Treatment for Ovarian Cysts - let's answer one important question - What are Ovarian cysts?

They are small sacs called follicles that develop on or inside the ovary and they tend to vary in sizes.

A simple cyst is filled with fluids but other more complex cysts may contain solids like hair, teeth, nails etc.

Functional Ovarian cysts tend to be common in women who are still in their reproductive years but that is not to say that older women who have gone through menopause do not get cysts, because they sometimes do.

Most cysts form as a because of the ovulation process that a woman goes through on a monthly basis and tend to vary in sizes ranging from the size of a pea to the size of a grapefruit.

Most cysts are functional in nature and therefore harmless but others like hemorrhagic, dermoid cysts and endometriomas need some sort on intervention.

Natural Treatment For Ovarian Cysts - what are the common symptoms of ovarian cysts?

1. Irregular, painful menstrual cycles and abnormal bleeding.

2. Pelvic pain just before your period begins or before it ends.

3. Constant or dull intermittent pelvic ache that may radiate to your lower back and sometimes your thighs.

4. Pelvic pain during sexual intercourse.

5. Nausea and vomiting.

6. Breast tenderness similar that can be compared to that experienced in pregnancy.

7. Pressure or pain in abdomen.

8. Pressure on rectum or bladder.

Dairy and Dairy Products: Designed For Cows and Humans

We have all been brainwashed into believing that dairy produce is healthy food for humans. If the truth is to be told it is not.

What is the number one step in the best ovarian cysts treatment? Elimination of dairy and diary products especially milk contains insulin growth factor (IGF, a growth hormone), excessive cow oestrogen and progesterone and so consuming it throws your body's natural hormone levels out of balance.

Cow's milk is packed full of growth hormones that promote cell division and it is designed to nourish calves through their biggest growth years and give them about 300 per cent growth within a year!

The chemical and hormonal structure of milk stimulates growth in calves, it literally sends a message to their cells to grow and when you drink it, it sends a similar message to your cells - Grow.

The problem is if you are a fully grown adult where is all this growth likely to take place? In tumours, cysts and an ever expanding waist line.

So my friend, the first step to obtaining permanent freedom from any growth, cysts, tumours and hormonal imbalances is the elimination of diary and dairy products like milk, cheese, ice-cream etc

Now you have been introduced to the first step in the best ovarian cysts treatment, but there is so many other things you need to be aware of, it is virtually impossible to discuss it all in one article.

There is a great resource, the only one of it's kind, that will teach you a step by step plan to instantly relieve intense pain, shrink your cysts in as little as 2 months, eliminate all your symptoms and become totally cysts free.

This is the best Natural Treatment for Ovarian Cysts ever discovered. To find out more simply visit www.squidoo.com/ovarian-cysts-natural-treatment for all the details.

Discover 2 Foods To Avoid If You Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

by Alison Harris

New research points to the idea that irritable bowel syndrome may be caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the intestines. It seems that some foods favour the spread of these bad bacteria and one way to reduce their population is to identify which foods support their growth.

It important to keep a food and symptoms diary as this is the only way you will be able to track the specific foods that trigger your IBS Symptoms.

The list below shows 2 known foods that definitely trigger IBS symptoms in many people. They are:

1. Gluten: This is a protein that is commonly found in a lot of grains including but not restricted to wheat, oats, rye, spelt, and barley. The first thing you need to do is go on a gluten free diet for about 2 weeks.

This means you have to pay very close attention to the foods you are eating, read food labels and even read the ingredients in over the counter medicines because some of the foods and medications that you least expect may contain gluten.

You should see a significant improvement in your symptoms once you eliminate this protein from your diet.

2. Coffee (especially when combined with sugar): I used to suffer from IBS myself so I have experienced some of the symptoms e.g. gas, bloating, stomach making noises, spastic contractions of the colon, and stomach cramps etc.

I noticed a significant improvement in my symptoms the very next day I stopped drinking coffee.

You see coffee and sugar are both acidic foods and they will increase the acidity of your stomach. If you suffer from IBS, it is important that your stomach is not too acidic. One of the ways to achieve this is to reduce the amount of acidic foods you eat and consume more foods that leave an alkaline residue in your body.

We have talked about two foods you need to avoid if you have IBS, but there many more foods that trigger this ailment.
