The purpose of an Air Purifier is to remove all the contaminants from the air. Asthma patients and people who are allergic to air-borne particles are the prime beneficiaries of these purifier units. These devices are also helpful in filtering out second-hand tobacco smoke that cause unnecessary hardships to non-smokers. Residences generally use stand-alone Air Purifier units while commercial users are known to employ HVAC systems that come equipped with Purifier systems. A number of purifiers are available, with prices ranging from 20 US Dollars to a whopping 1000 US Dollars or more. The differentiating factor among the array of units is the filtering capability.

Air Oasis PCO Air Purifier

Photo Catalytic Oxidation (PCO) filters have been creating quite a buzz over the past few years and Air Oasis has capitalized on this opportunity by employing this principle. The unit releases catalysts that then react with a range of volatile contaminants present in the air. The broad UV spectrum available via natural sunlight acts on the compounds, breaks them down and eliminates them. The primary advantage of the unit is that the ozone released is well within FDA regulated limits. In addition, a fan is not required. These complex purifiers are not inexpensive and cost approximately 400 US Dollars.

Hepa Air Purifier

The US Government invested in the Research and Development of HEPA Air Filters in the mid 1940s to protect the people working on the atomic bomb from airborne atomic particles. HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air filters that do not have a standard regulation. A good HEPA filter does away with 99.97% of all particles that have dimensions greater than 0.03 microns. The presence of a fan in every HEPA filter unit allows it to process more air compared to similar-sized filters using other principles. They are not very effective while eliminating odor. A basic Holmes HEPA-type Air Purifier costs less than 40 US Dollars.

Vornado Air Purifier

Vornado's unique selling proposition is the vortex technology that it employs in all its purifier units. The modus operandi of these purifiers is to spin the air leaving the machine, akin to a tornado. This creates a much wider distribution pattern for the purified air. Two HEPA filters are housed within the unit to catch all the particulate matter. The Vornado AQS 500 Purifier is capable of serving almost 255 square feet and is available for less than 100 US Dollars. The pricing is highly attractive when compared to similar competitors. The vortex fan at the top of the unit can be extremely noisy and this takes a few points away from the Purifier.

Do you realize a Living home air purifier can raise the quality of air that you inhale on a daily basis? For anybody who is intrigued, please read on. To start with, allow me to explain that a Living air purifier may be produced in many different different shapes and sizes that even include minuscule units which can be attached to the cigarette lighter or mobile phone charger compartment inside your vehicle, boat or even RV.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are larger sized Living air home purifiers that can cover up to roughly 3000 square feet, which if you think about it, is a fairly large area. Indoor air is equally as contaminated as outdoor air and a Living air purifier can certainly help combat the air-borne pollutants and foreign allergens that exist within the atmosphere of a given space.

So, now that you've had a brief intro to a Living air home purifier, you could be wondering the way in which this remarkable machine works. Air in a space including your home, vehicle, or office flows through several self-charging layers of electrostatic fabric in a Living air purifier. This in the end adds to the overall charge within the unit. The overall result from these actions means that pollutants from the air are drawn to the charged fiber within the Living air home purifier like a magnet and securely trapped within the core layer of the unit. It is a rather sophisticated process that produces clean air for anyone in a particular space to breathe in.

When you have someone within your house who suffers from respiratory issues or any sort of allergies, a Living air home purifier can be a wonderful solution to help relieve the above mentioned symptoms. Additionally, dust, pollen, animal dander and other foreign pollutants will seem to magically disappear. Do you already know that whenever you cook inside of your home that food odors are released into the air? A Living air home purifier will help get rid of the odors that are commonly linked to cooking different types of foods.

Obviously there are a number of health advantages to buying a Living home air purifier, so what on earth are you waiting for? I suggest that you simply do a little research just prior to choosing a Living air home purifier to make sure that should you have any questions or concerns, those are addressed prior to choosing which model is the best for your home. Assuming you have access to the web, you can search a number of different consumer reviews on a Living air home purifier from individuals who already own one. This may be a fantastic way to find just what others think about Living air purifiers.

As far as where to purchase a Living air purifier is concerned, you can always search for a retail location and choose among the different models if that's how you like to shop otherwise you can look up several retail location sites on the internet and buy the model that you like without even needing to leave the comfort of your very own home. Don't forget, if you choose to do your shopping on the internet, you could be forced to pay an additional charge for shipping and handling on a Living home air purifier.

Read the best air purifier reviews and learn why a Living Air air purifier is the best.

A natural form of ozone air purifiers is created when lightning arcs through the air during an electrical storm. The electricity temporarily initiates a process whereby an extra oxygen atom attaches to the oxygen molecule. The result is three oxygen atoms. The ozone thus created is an unstable gas that is blue in color. Home purifiers use an electrical spark to accomplish the same results on a smaller scale.

When you release the ozone molecules into a room by using an air purifier, the molecules combine with other types of molecules. The odor-causing pollutants in the air attach themselves to ozone molecules and the pollution is thus scrubbed from the air. This works well for eliminating sewage, decay, mold and mildew. Unfortunately, ozone in the breathing passages is dangerous to soft tissue, since it attaches itself there as well. Breathing in ozone can even cause permanent damage or death.

When professionals operate ozone purifiers, they make certain to use appropriate safety measures. Humans and pets may even be barred from staying in the buildings where these purifiers are operating. Strong measures are needed to clean up after sewage spills, floods or similar disasters where there are stinking or rotting materials in the vicinity. The professionals use masks or other breathing apparatus to avoid breathing ozone over extended periods.

Human beings are protected from ozone in air purifiers by improved technology that captures the ionized particles and filters them to remove the extra atoms of oxygen. It is important that the filter be installed correctly and clean so that it will do its job. If you can detect the smell of ozone, you probably have too much in lungs for continued presence in the vicinity. Even a low level of ozone over an extended period can cause breathing problems such as asthma.

Standards have been set that describe acceptable levels for the presence of ozone indoors and outdoors. When these levels are exceeded in the workplace, employers must provide protection or face penalties and fines. Home medical equipment that exceeds acceptable levels over a period of time should be avoided if possible.

Danger and damage due to ozone can come from two avenues. A high exposure to ozone for a brief period can be reversed by the natural healing processes of the body. A low level of ozone in the lungs over a lengthy period can be just as dangerous, since the body doesn't have time to recover before the next exposure to ozone occurs.

Outdoors, an ozone level of fifty to eighty parts per billion (ppb) is deemed to be the maximum acceptable amount. Indoors, top levels are set at 50 ppb. Even a high level of ozone decreases as you distance yourself from the source. Beyond a distance of 10 fee3t, there is less likelihood of danger from exposure. If you must use a unit, place it where it is at a safe distance, or leave the area until the unit has done its work.

When you select ozone air purifiers, make certain to reduce the amount of free ozone in the room to a minimum. Look for labels and reviews to tell you the level released into the area. Ozone in the upper atmosphere prevents the inhabitants of Earth from high levels of ultraviolet rays. Ozone helps to reduce the level of air pollution. In the upper atmosphere, ozone can't hurt your lungs as it can when it is breathed by people and animals.

You can find the ozone air purifier that will meet all your specifications fast and easy! Selecting from the many ozone air purifiers available, you can quickly find the one for you.

These days there are more and more people who are suffering from conditions such as allergies and asthma. For this reason getting an air purifier for your home that can remove some of the pollutants that can bring on illness is becoming a very popular option.

With more awareness these days about the effects of pollution and the way that air born allergens can affect people air purifiers are beginning to capture more people's interest. In the air there can be molds, bacteria, viruses, hair, skin flakes, pollen and other things that can spark allergies and reduce people's health.

The way that air purifiers can remove allergens from the air is through use of filters, ozone or electrical attraction. Purifiers that work with filters pass the air through sieve like things that catch the germs and trap them there. High quality filters can clean the air up to six times in an hour, which ensures the healthiness of the room.

Purifiers using attraction to pull air into the purifier catching the allergenic contaminants and remove them from the air. Three different types of attraction purifiers called: electrostatic precipitating cleaners, electret filters, and negative ion generators. Some of these can be considered better than others as well as having designs that might suit some people better than others.

The way that an electrostatic purifier works is to draw in particles and then zap them with high power wires. The charge changes to electrical properties of the pollutants and gets rid of toxins. This type of air purifier is considered to be very good at eradicating pollutants from the air around it, but replacement bits can be expensive. Another type of purifier is the electret filter, which uses static charge with synthetic fibers to trap contaminants. The trapped particles are then stored in metallic trays, which have the be cleaned and dried. A downside to this type of purifier is that it requires more work than some others.

The next type of purifier that you can purchase is the ionic generator. The way that this type of machine works is to release negative charged ions into the air. The ions that are floating around in the air draw in the particles and then they are amassed together and sink to the ground. The particles that fall to the floor have to be swept or vacuumed up to be removed. The final type of purifier that is available in some places is the ozone purifier, but this one is not recommended by the EPA as it releases ozone, which can be harmful to people and irritate their lings.

Finding air purifiers that have HEPA filters is a good idea since these are required to undergo stringent testing for approval. Since they have passed tests you can be confident in the quality of the product and its ability to make your home environment safer.

An air purifier can be an effective method at making the air your breathe safer and reduce the effect of allergens that can cause health problems and illness. If you or your family suffer from allergen related illness, then you should probably consider getting an air purifier to cleanse your home environment and make it safer for everyone.

Finding the air purifier that is best for your needs is fast and easy! You can select from many different air purifiers to locate the one that will fit in your home perfectly today!

A UV air purifier uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria, viruses, mild, and fungi and clean your air of harmful organic pollutants. This includes such things as dust mite feces, hair and dander dust particles, and volatile organic compounds. There are many benefits of getting a UV air purifier and very few negatives. If you are constantly getting sick or have bad allergies you should look at what the benefits of a UV air purifier are. Read on to find out why you should get one and what you can expect when you do.

If you are an allergy sufferer, you may have heard that a UV air purifier can help with your condition. This is certainly true. Molds, fungi, spores, even dust mites and their feces can all be removed from the air. In addition to this, an ultraviolet light air purifier can help keep you from coming down with common illnesses such as a cold. Here is an overview of how a UV air purifier works, and certain issues you should be aware of.

The most important feature of a UV air purifier is the bulb. Air passes though the UV light and any bacteria, mold, fungus, virus or other living material is subjected to a lethal dose of UV light. Don't worry, this isn't harmful to people, but is deadly for small life forms. You want to find a bulb that puts out UV light rays in a very specific spectrum to ensure that they are being as effective as possible at killing and cleaning organic material out of the air. You also want to make sure that the lifespan of the bulb that goes in the unit is at least a year. UV air filter bulbs can be expensive to replace and if you are churning through one every three months this can add up really quick.

In addition to directly eliminating harmful particles from the air, UV light air purifiers work by starting destructive chemical reactions in the indoor air pollutants. The light will convert molecules of oxygen and water in the air into ozone and hydroxyl along with hydrogen peroxide. These airborne molecules then react with the pollutants, destroying and decomposing them into their harmless components, usually water and carbon dioxide.

You should be aware that a wide band bulb can create too much toxic ozone and will cause problems beyond the ones that it was trying to fix. A quality UV air purifier will have a limited UV spectrum and minimize the amount of ozone that is produced. These high quality units will use UV light at an effective wavelength to generate hydroxyl particles.

This should give you a basic understanding of how a UV air purifier works and why one can be beneficial to you. They have many benefits for removing and destroying allergenic materials. Anywhere that you have these kinds of pathogens is a great place for a UV air purifier.

There are a number of different technologies to be found in air purifiers, from the HEPA filter to the ionic air purifier.

HEPA air purifiers are very popular in the market. HEPA is the abbreviation for High Efficiency Particulate Arresting. These air purifiers remove particulates that are suspended and minute from the air, thereby purifying the air from all particles that are suspended in air, and may be a potential harm causing agent or an agent that may cause various allergies to people inhaling them.

Fiber or polymers are basically used to make these purifiers. The microscopic particles in the air are trapped by these constituents. These purifiers are very capable of trapping dust, mold spores, many varieties of viruses and bacteria. Many varieties of these purifiers are present in market and majority of them are known to have 99.97% effectiveness in filtering particulate matter as tiny as 0.3 microns. But the fact is that the HEPA purifiers only filter airflow that goes through it, hence this particular claim may be untrue in most cases. This is due to the fact that many of these purifiers are not very well designed and may allow the air to pass around and hence miss the filters, and in effect still remain in the room without going through the cleaning process.

HEPA air purifiers usually use an active material of which is carbon based to help in the absorbing of chemicals, gases and odors. There are many kinds like thin mats of Air-O-Swiss filters or several pounds seen in the Austin Air Purifier.

HEPA air purifiers are used specifically in vacuum cleaners. The usage of HEPA air purifiers in vacuum cleaners allows trapping of pollen and dust mites, which can reduce the asthmatic and allergic effects on those who are suffering from breathing problems.

Even though air purifiers are very effective, while buying purifiers, it is better to buy only HEPA filters and not 99% HEPA or other HEPA TYPE filters. This is only because HEPA air purifiers are the only ones effective and the results provided by the rest cannot even be compared with the ones produced by HEPA air purifiers. Nowadays sealed HEPA air purifiers are available too, which do not allow leakage of air without being filtered, thereby increasing the efficiency.

Machines that reduce harmful particles in the air come in many different types. Air purifiers are available in a basic type that purifies a little bit of everything, or in specialized types that are best for a particular kind of air particle.

Products that reduce small particles in the air come in many different types. Air purifiers come in a standard type that are used for most particles, or in special kinds that are specialized for a particular kind of air particle.

Some of the advanced air purifiers include: allergy air purifiers, smoke air purifiers and mold air purifiers. People have different reasons for why they need air purifiers but there is one common denominator - they do the job.

Some of these models come in portable versions to make it easy to take with you when traveling for business or personal reasons. Because of this they are great for people that suffer from allergies throughout the world. Air purifiers, are so compact that they can be used in every part of the house, in common rooms, only the bedrooms, or wherever it is appropriate or needed. If a love one is suffering from allergies individually, they can place a small air purifier in just that room. Or, if the home is located in an area that gets brush fires, the family can can all benefit from a model placed in a common area. Air purifiers are essential for those who suffer from air processing and/or other lung and breathing issues. Air purifiers, no matter the type, reduce bad air from the area by sterilizing the air in the room. Since air purifiers come in many types, they can be added, large and small, to work together over larger portions of the home.

Air purifiers come in all shapes, sizes, degree of efficiency and power. Though most look very modern and sharp, it is important that you take the time out to learn about them before choosing one. Most air purifiers available today can purify the air for rooms spanning between 200 and 1,000 square feet. These air purifiers run on different levels of power, and therefore the ongoing costs can vary astronomically.

Also, air purifier units come with covers to block the integral components of the unit. There are also several styles of display panels with the most common being LED screens; at the outset, these air purifiers were not digital. Some providers actually throw in a free small unit when you buy a normal sized one.

Whether needed for an individual or your whole family, these machines work great at removing dust, and harmful contaminants and then create clean air to inhale. Being able to breathe is extremely critical for those suffering from sicknesses. This ability is also key to people living in the inner city . Not being able to breathe well will cause medical conditions that can be minor or severe. People who have chronic respiratory symptoms such as Asthma have to have an air purifier to breathe easily. Picking up an air purifier is a crucial decision for people who really need them.

One thing that many people do not realize is that the air outside is much cleaner than house hold air. You can keep the air inside cleaner by leaving the windows open, getting a high efficient air conditioning filter, or you can look into buying an air purifier.

I am sure that you have seen these advertised before, whether it be walking around a shopping mall, or on the internet. But there are a handful of people that are not sure if it is worth the money to invest in one.

The truth is that air purifiers can be expensive to purchase, but you need to remember one thing. They result in clean air, which is easier to breathe. Now how can you go and put a price on something like that?

Now if you are sold on that fact that they make your home air cleaner, you need to do some more research on what kind of air purifier you should get. You must remember there are certain types designed for certain tasks of purifying the air.

First thing you might want to look into when buying an air purifier, is how much, if at all, the maintenance of it is going to cost you. This is because some air purifiers are designed to have a filter changed every couple months to a year, and filters can become expensive.

Know the price of the filter, and how long it will last before it needs replacement is a must when choosing an air purifier that uses filters. The ones that use collection grids instead of filters may cost more initially, but they are cheaper down the road as you are not paying for replacement filters.

It is also important to look over what you will be using your air purifier for. A big number of persons use air purifiers if they have pets or if they have a smoker inside the house. With that being said, not all air purifiers are made to get rid of these types of particles from the air.

Because not many models are made to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke, it is very important that you read exactly what it is the air purifier is designed to do, or you could be making a costly mistake.
